Bradford Public Library announces upcoming events

BRADFORD – Bradford Public Library has announced several events that will take place in November and December.

Bradford Public Library is inviting all Lego lovers and aficionados to help build its Lego Christmas Village and Santa Claus Town on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24.

The library has added a new fire station set this year. All Legos will be provided.

Patrons can come in anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 23 and from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 24. The second Saturday to help build the Christmas project will be Dec. 1 during the same time.

The Lego activity is recommended for kids 10 years through adults. Patrons don’t need to sign up, just come and join in the fun.

The village and Santa Town will be displayed throughout the library with the names of the builders.

Cardio drumming sign-ups for December will be up on Nov. 23. Classes are held Monday evenings from 7-8 p.m. and Wednesday mornings from 9-10 a.m. Patrons should call for an equipment list. Classes are free and are open for anyone 18 years or older. Classes will be held at Bradford Public Library.

Dec. 13 will be Bradford Public Library’s STEAM program for home school students in the first through eighth grades. The library will finish up its Chihuly Glass inspired sculpture to be displayed at the library in the children’s area. Extra materials will be available for those who could not attend in November. Registration is not required for the STEAM program but calling to let staff know of guests’ attendance is appreciated. Class starts at 10:15 and ends at 11:30 a.m. the second Thursday of every month.

Candice Skinner will present a special holiday story hour for preschoolers on from 11 a.m.-noon Dec. 18. There will be activities and stories to help get preschoolers in the holiday spirit. Registration is required and appreciated.
