COVINGTON — All children ages 4 and older can come to J.R. Clarke Public Library anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday to decorate an ornament and spruce up the library’s Little Library Tree for the holiday season.

This is a free activity for all children. Beginning on Dec. 20, the children can come to the library, take their decorated ornament and place it on their own family tree. Snacks will be served. This event will take place in the Lower Level Community Room.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 26, J.R. Clarke Public Library will begin working on its Christmas LEGO project. This is for young and older Lego lovers alike. If it’s not finished on Nov. 26, JRC will schedule several more dates and times to work on this project.

J.R. Clarke Public Library has scheduled Joanie’s Floral Designs for a workshop on winter and Christmas home decorating at 6 p.m. Dec. 5. All participants will create two decorative items during this session. Live greenery will be used.

This session fills up very quickly so patrons are advised to contact J.R. Clarke Public Library right away at 937-473-2226 to reserve a space for this workshop. The cost for instruction and all materials is $25, payable to Joanie’s Floral. The deadline for this activity is Nov. 30. A minimum deposit of $10 must be made at sign-up to confirm a spot. This workshop will take place in the library’s downstairs Community Room. Refreshments will be served for all participants.
