ANKENY, Iowa – On Giving Tuesday and for the rest of November, Casey’s General Store is hosting its annual “Dog Tag” promotion to raise funds and awareness for Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, family and hope for veterans, service members and military families.
For the seventh year, patrons of the more than 2,000 Casey’s General Stores across 16 states are invited to support Hope For The Warriors by purchasing a dog tag for $1. Casey’s General Stores will display the dog tags throughout the store, providing customers the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment and support for service members.
“We’ve seen great support from our customers for Hope For The Warriors in the past, and we’re proud to run this campaign again in 2018,” Casey’s Vice President of Marketing, Mike Richardson said. “It’s a fitting way for us to say thank you to our service members, especially this close to Veterans Day.”
To date, Casey’s General Stores has raised nearly $4 million benefiting Hope For The Warriors’ programs that focus on clinical health and wellness, sports and recreation and transition services.
“We’re a week away from completing our seventh ‘Dog Tag’ campaign with Casey’s General Stores and have reached 60 percent of our goal,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president of Hope For The Warriors. “This year, Giving Tuesday lands on Nov. 27. We couldn’t think of a more perfect time to give back to veterans, military members and their families by making a dollar donation at your local Casey’s General Store location.”
