UNION CITY, Ind. — The next First Friday Event is coming this Friday and it is chock-full of information.

“Please do what you can to attend, bring a friend, relative and anyone else you would like to invite,” organizers said. “Everyone from the Ohio side and Indiana side of the state line are welcome, and refreshments will be provided or you can bring your own. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided.”

The event will be hosted by The Historical Preservation Society of Union City Indiana and Ohio and co-hosted, for April, by Randolph County Economic Development Corp., which is directed by Greg Beumer; by Missy Williams, Randolph County Community Development director; Ball State University Indiana Communities Institute of which Brian Blackford is project manager; and Emily Joy Wornell Seregow, research assistant professor Indiana Communities.

For future reference, co-hosting for any First Friday Event is open to anyone interested including businesses, organizations and individuals. Contact Betsy Jefferis at 765-964-5658 for more information.

Friday’s event will take place in the Community Room, 105-113 N Columbia St., Union City Indiana, with a cultivating community meeting starting at 4:30 p.m.

“Here’s your chance to express your thoughts and ideas on what Union City needs and how all of us can make it happen,” organizers said.
