GREENVILLE – The 6th annual Green Wave Football Golf Outing will be held Saturday, July 27th at the Versailles Stillwater Valley Golf Club.

“Come out and support our program,” said head varsity Greenville football coach Bart Schmitz. “It is greatly appreciated – doesn’t go unnoticed.”

“It takes an entire community to do what we do,” Schmitz added. “It’s our No. 1 fund raiser that allows us to put our kids in the best possible equipment that money can buy.”

The day’s events will allow the Green Wave football program to compete for the MVL Championship and the opportunity to represent Greenville in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Playoffs.

Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward the purchase of new uniforms, new practice equipment for both the high school and middle school programs, and continuing to expand and improve the programs video capabilities.

“We are in the process of replacing our jerseys,” Schmitz noted. “The ones we wear now are currently on their sixth year. They last anywhere from 4-6 years so we are really pushing the length on that. We are upgrading our video equipment. We have to keep up with technology these days.”

A goal of $20,000 has been set for the 2019 Greenville Football Golf Outing.

The golf outing is accepting “Hole Sponsors” and participation entry forms with an entry deadline of July 19th.

Greenville head varsity football coach Bart Schmitz and assistant coach Adam Eberwein serve as the event directors and can be contacted at:

“It’s a fun time to come out and support the boys, the football team,” concluded Schmitz. “It’s a great time.”
