Restaurants update way they operate


GREENVILLE – On Sunday, Governor Mike DeWine announced new measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the coronovirus. In unprecedented action, the governor announced Dr. Amy Acton, director of the Ohio Department of Health, would be signing an order to close restaurants and bars. Bars will be shuttered for the foreseeable future, but restaurants will have the option to remain open for carryout and drive-thru only. No customers will be allowed to congregate in the business.

The Wooden Spoon, north of Greenville, is open regular hours for carryout only.

Teaford’s Pizza & Subs will be open Monday through Sunday, 1-8 p.m. Delivery will be available from until close. Delivery service is not required, but is recommended. They will discount all food ordered for delivery by five percent to offset the delivery fee expense or eliminate it in full if enough food is purchased. They are expanding their delivery area and will deliver up to 10 miles away from their facility. For delivery fees or more information, call 937-547-9383.

Sideliners Sports Bar & Grill in Versailles is open for carryout and delivery service. Your order must be at least $10. They will deliver to Webster (to the south), St. Rt. 127 (to the West), Frenchtown (to the North) and Russia (to the East). Deliveries will be cash only with a $2 fee for in town Versailles and $3 fee for out of Versailles. Tips are appreciated. They also will have take out beer and wine. Hustons Restaurant and Catering in Arcanum will be open st 7 a.m until 2 p.m Tuesday through Sunday. Then reopen 4-7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Call in your order ahead and they’ll have it ready and waiting for you. Any questions please feel free to contact them at 937-692-8576.

Jims Drive In will open as planned March 28,2020. They will provide to go orders only. Woodcrest Lanes/Smokin Pin BBQ will close on Sunday and will not reopen until September of 2020 as planned.

Montage Cafe will be closed for dining, but they will have food to go. Call in your order and pick it up or come in and get it to go. They are also offering curbside service. The can deliver to your home or business with a minimum $15 order and no delivery fee will be charged during this time.

Picnic’s Pizza in Arcanum will remain open for regular business hours. Carry out and drive through only. Sunday-Thursday 11-8; Friday-Saturday 11-9

The Whistle Stop will be open normal hours. Will be offering delivery all days now in addition to carryout.

Double M Diner will operate as carryout only. Call (937)547-3031 or come in to place your order. You will not be permitted to eat in the Diner. Due to this order their hours of operation will change to the following: Monday-Saturday: 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sunday: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. These hours are subject to change at anytime. The Coffee Pot will be open for carryout. Available: all drinks, pies & baked goods – bagels, scones, cookies, brownies, cakes, quiche, baked oatmeal, and muffins. They will not be serving lunch items at this time. Open regular business hours 7 days per week: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m, and Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (all hours subject to change). Dairy King will be open with drive-thru service and carryout. They will have normal operating hours, Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.

Beanz Buttercream Bakery will operate with normal hours – pick-up only.

JT’s Brew & Grill will offer carryout through their drive up window; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

The Snack Shop in New Madison will be open regular hours 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Drive thru and walk up windows.

Stacey’s Coffee Corner, located in the main lobby of Wayne HealthCare, will continue to be open normal hours, Monday through Friday, 6:30-11:30 a.m. and Saturday, 7:30-11:30 a.m. The hospital has placed restrictions, but as long as customers are okay with having their temperature taken and answering questions to make sure they have no symptoms they can come and get their favorite coffee, coffee beans or latte. They will continue to operate as long as restrictions don’t change with the hospital or health department.

The Bank House Cafe in Verona will continue to operate with normal hours for carryout; Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Wendy’s will have its drive thru open as well as walk in for carry out. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to midnight daily.

Chillz Frozen Yogurt will be open for carryout only. They will be adjusting our frozen treats from self serve to a made to order service. They will suspend their food service.

Pick Six Drive-Thru & Pizza’s kitchen, in Versailles, will be operating on it’s normal business hours. The kitchen will be open Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Orders can be placed by calling 937-827-0065.

Las Marias will be open during usual business hours providing carryout only.

Schlechty’s Sports Bar and Grill in New Madison will have drive-thru service available for food and beverage. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. They will serve breakfast from their regular menu. Delivery will be available from 5:30-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5:30-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A minimum order of $15 and pre-payment is required for delivery. BG’s Restaurant in North Star will still be open normal hours with use of their drive-thru.

Sharps tavern in Palestine will be open; operating hours will temporarily be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Serving food and beer for carryout only.

The Winery at Versailles will be open for retail cash and carry sales as well as carryout food orders. They will also offer delivery service within 10 miles free of charge for all food/wine orders over $25 (plus tax). If you are outside of the 10 miles, call to see if they are going to be in your general direction, and they will try to make it work. Our hours of business will change during the mandatory closure of on-site dining/consumption: Monday through Friday Noon-6 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. They will offer food/wine delivery starting Tuesday, March 17 the following hours: Monday through Friday, 3-6 p.m. and Saturday noon-6 p.m. They do offer shipping within Ohio and several other states. A.R. Winery/Briar Brown Brewing Company will be open for normal business hours. Their wood-fired brick oven pizzas will be available for carryout Wednesday through Saturday and their wine and craft beers will be available for carryout Tuesday through Saturday.
