Versailles FFA teaches preschoolers agriculture

VERSAILLES — It’s never too early to learn about agriculture.

Several Versailles FFA members made four different visits to the Versailles Preschool to teach lessons on agriculture and highlight the Farm Day videos that were established by Versailles FFA in May.

Versailles FFA members that assisted included: Madison Henry, Delaney Barga, Jaimee Hoelsher, Cora Trissel and Lexie DeMange. Each day the Versailles FFA members showed them a different Farm Day video and followed with an activity/craft that emphasized the videos.

The swine Farm Day video that featured Jacob Wuebker was shown and followed up with making a ration snack that highlighted different types of feeds and nutrients.

The greenhouse video was shared that was taped by Mrs Wuebker and highlighted by planting a seed.

The goat video which was taught by Noah Barga was highlighted by making a goat puppet as a craft and the Bee video was also shared by Noah Barga and a bee craft was made.

The rabbit video taught by Dalton Hesson was also watched and a rabbit craft was made.

A special thank you to Amy Bartram for allowing the Versailles FFA to visit the Versailles Preschool and highlight the importance of agriculture. This was the first time the Versailles FFA conducted a program with the Versailles Preschool students.
