Boys & Girls Club gives thanks

The Boys & Girls Club would like to thank everyone who took the time out to help support the club in 2022, from donations to help the annual garage sale, buying items at the sale and the 50/50 drawing. Also, for the donations for the new weight equipment in our exercise room. Thank you for the several food donations for the kitchen which allow us to feed the kids daily, and teaches kids to cook in our kitchen.

l would also like to thank all the people who donated funds for the clubs summer field trip which we took 56 of the stafi and kids to the Ark Encounter, in Williamstown, KY. A wonderful trip that the kids enjoyed with wonderful memories and educational studies of the Ark. The month of December was a very special month, starting with Dairy King sponsoring the club’s annual Skating Party, which we thank the Dairy King very much. Also, would like to thank Santa Claus for taking time from his busy schedule at the Annie Oakley Park to visit the Boys & Girls Club spending time with all the kids which brightened up their day. Along with a big thanks to Paul Ackley for money raised from the sale of his painting of the Greenville Christmas Tree. Several prints of the tree were also sold. We still have a few paintings left for $15 each which can be picked up at the club 613 S. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331. l would like to thank Dons Pizza for helping with a food drive for the Boys & Girls Club.

Thanks to all who donated to the clubs Pizza Party, and to the clubs Giving Tree which allowed us to pass out $780 in gift cards to 72 children this year at the club Christmas Party. Also, l would like to give a shout out to Lisa Cano, Brian Stephan, and Donna Clark tor the wonderful gifts they organized, bringing presents to all the kids at the club. All the toys and food were donated from the friends and family of the late Missy Thornhill who passed on Feb. 16, 2016. God Bless Missy and keep her loving memory in all of our hearts and prayers for many Christmas‘s to come. Again thank you all for all your past support and donations to help support the Greenville Boys & Girls Club.
