ARCANUM — The Joyful Jets 4-H Club had a meeting on Jan. 10, 6 p.m., at Trinity U.M Church in Arcanum.
Sixteen members, seven advisors and 10 parents were in attendance to begin the meeting. They started off with a game of Would You Rather led by Isaac Wiant. Mariah Kreusch called the meeting to order and the club stood to say the pledges.
The club announced that Adam Kendig would be coming in later this year to have an educational discussion about bees. The club also announced they will be taking an educational tour at Yellow Springs park this summer.
A topic of discussion was community service. The club will be participating in Trash Bash in April. The club will be donating seven dozen cookies to local first responders as well as collecting inspirational or encouraging books to donate to Love Packages, all as community service acts.
The club held their Lighting Ceremony for the newly elected officers – 2023 Club President Mariah Kreusch, Vice President Hanna Kendig, Secretary Cheyenne Swisher, Treasurer Caleb Wiant, Reporter Gabby Fugate, Historian Brooklyn Miller and Hailie Wherley, Safety leader Garret Miller, Health Leader Hudson Wherley, and Recreations Leader Isaac Wiant.
The club’s next meeting will be held on Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. at Trinity U.M. Church in Arcanum.
