GREENVILLE — For the week ending May 5, the Court considered and decided the following notable matters.

Dillon A. Flatter pled guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and operating a vehicle under the influence, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Flatter was sentenced to 67 day in jail, 60 months community control sanction, $850 fine, and one year license suspension.

Nathanial L. Marker was acquitted of the charges of domestic violence and endangering children by a jury verdict wherein Mr. Marker’s conduct was determined to be “reasonable parental discipline.”

Judge Travis L. Fliehman granted Isaiah N. Curtis intervention in lieu of conviction with supervision up to 60 months. Curtis conditionally pled guilty to possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree.

Starla J. Bowers was granted intervention in lieu of conviction with supervision up to 60 months. Bower conditionally pled guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.

Dalton S. Cockerham pleaded not guilty to the following charges: improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school safety zone, a felony of the second degree, four counts of felonious assault, all felonies of the second degree, and two counts of criminal damaging or endangering. If convicted, Cockerham faces 60 years in prison and a $76,500 fine. Judge Fliehman ordered a $30,000 bond with conditions and appointed attorney Nicole Pohlman as legal counsel. The next court date is June 12.

James Robert Paris pleaded not guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the first degree, and aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the third degree. If convicted, Paris faces 16.5 years in prison and $30,000 fine. Judge Fliehman ordered a $50,000 bond with conditions and appointed attorney David Rohrer as legal counsel. The next court date is June 5.

Kimberly S. Dotson admitted to various violations of intervention in lieu of conviction (ILC). The Judge terminated ILC, accepted Dotson’s guilty plea, and ordered community control sanctions up to 60 months, including in-patient treatment.
