GREENVILLE — Traditionally, Annie’s GALA has been in June, but now the popular event will be held the last two weeks of July. The GALA will begin July 15 and end at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, the last day of the Gathering at Garst.

Six SUVs caravanned to Garst to bring some of the donated auction items to the museum. And yes, the GALA committee should have rented a truck for its DIY move with so many unique items up for bids in the silent auction. Additionally, the GALA’s 50/50 raffle has started already, the balloon tree raffle will grab your attention as you enter the Lowell Thomas Meeting Room, and a target raffle is back again. Bid, pop, and win—the fun continues in the new month of July.

This is the 14th year for the exciting fundraising event that helps support the operating budget of Garst Museum. Come early and check out the items, and then come back for the Gathering at Garst festival that will be going on outside on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30. You can place bids on those items that you just cannot get off your mind while at the museum or by calling the museum (937-548-5250) from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesday–Saturday and until 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 30. But note, it gets very exciting in those last few minutes of the auction with down-to-the-wire bidding.
