NORTH STAR — Construction has started on the new shelter house, restrooms, and press box at the North Star Community Park. This is such an exciting time for the North Star community!

Also exciting is that the goal of raising $1 million for the park project is almost achieved. The generosity that is making the dream of having an accessible, inclusive park in North Star a reality is amazing. The North Star Community Association wants to share that there is still time to donate if you have not done so. Or, you can add to an earlier donation as several families have done. Also, many have made gifts in memory of or in honor of family members. Gifts of $5,000 and more will be displayed on a donor wall in the shelter house. This will be a permanent, attractive display that will be a lasting legacy of the North Star community’s generosity. Donations can also remain anonymous if you wish.

The cut-off date to have a name(s) added to the donor wall is Dec. 31. If you would like to make a donation or add to an existing donation, please email [email protected] to have a donation form sent to you. Completed donation forms and checks made payable to the Darke County Foundation (please include North Star Community Park in the memo line) can be mailed to: North Star Community Association; P.O.
