GREENVILLE — A two-vehicle accident Sunday resulted in two people being transported by CareFlight for medical treatment.

On February 14, 2021 at approximately 3:39 p.m., Darke County deputies along with Gettysburg Fire, Gettysburg Rescue, Greenville Township Rescue and CareFlight were dispatched to the 6900 Block of Arcanum Bears Mill Road in reference to a two-vehicle injury accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed a brown 2017 Kia Forte driven by Cassie M. King, 32, of Greenville, was traveling northbound on Arcanum Bears Mill Road. King attempted to make a left turn into a private drive when a southbound blue 2005 Jeep Liberty driven by Makala J. Dodd, 25, of Portland, Ind., struck her. King’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway causing the vehicle to roll over.

King was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, her condition is unknown. CareFlight also transported a juvenile passenger from King’s vehicle to Miami Valley Hospital, with her condition also unknown. Dodd was treated and released from the scene.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team was also called to the scene for further investigation. This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
