-1:34 a.m.: menacing. Police responded to an apartment in the 400 block of West Fourth on a harassment and trespassing complaint. A citatin was later issued to John Haberny, who had been been warned of trespass on the property.

July 5

—12:01 a.m.: underage consumption. Police cited Tyler Byrd for underage consumption.

July 8

-11:22 a.m.: identity theft. A resident in the 400 block of East Fifth Street reported the use of his personal information by another in encounters with Dayton Police which resulted in an active warrant.

July 9

-7:23 a.m.: burglary. A possible breaking and entering was reported at Wendy’s, 419 Wagner Ave. A deposit bag containing an unspecified amount of money was reported missing.

July 10

-8:31 a.m.: warrant. John Haberny was cited for trespassing and transported to jail on an active warrant for resisting arrest.

-2:55 p.m.: theft. A customer reported an iPod was left at Hot Head Burritos and was missing upon return to the store.

-3:06 p.m.: private property accident. A two-vehicle collision was reported in the parking lot at Farmer’s State Bank, 1107 Sweitzer St.

-6:45 p.m.: warrant. Cory Norris was cited for driving under suspension and released to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on an active felony warrant for possession of heroin.

-11:44 p.m.: warrant. Donovan York was arrested on a warrant through Greenville Police Department for failure to comply with a three-day jail term on a theft charge. He was transported to jail to serve the term.

July 11

-10:04 a.m.: trash dumping. Police responded to a trash complaint in the 300 block of South Broadway Street. Deborah Mayer was charged with littering and transported to jail on a $525 bond.

-2:07 p.m.: trash dumping. Police responded to a trash complaint in the 500 block of Wagner Avenue and notified the resident of garbage regulations. No citation was issued.

-4:33 p.m.: animal cruelty. Lori Perkins was cited for misdemeanor animal cruelty and her dogs were taken by the Humane Society after they were determined to have been mistreated and neglected without food or water for long periods of time.

July 12

-9:09 a.m.: vandalism. A resident in the 400 block of Washington Avenue reported the tires on his vehicle had been slashed. Police observed the tires were deflated but no damage was observed. A suspect was questioned, but no citation was issued.

-2:07 p.m.: vandalism. Robert Garza and Jessica Dues were cited for trespass after police responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle at a residence in the 100 block of North Main Street.

July 13

-8 a.m.: theft. A license plate was reported removed from a vehicle at an unknown location.

-2:34 p.m.: burglary. Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 100 block of Tillman Avenue. Several items of jewelry were reported stolen.

-5:10 p.m.: private property accident. A collision among three vehicles in the KFC drive-thru caused heavy damage to the building.

-9:29 p.m.: firearms. Charges are pending for mishandling of firearms in a motor vehicles for a semi-truck driver after police discovered the firearm during investigation of a drug tip. Two other parties involved are under observation for drug activity.

July 14

-11:27 a.m.: theft. A landlord reported theft of electricity by a tenant in the 100 block of Maple Avenue. The issue was determined to be a civil matter.

-2:55 p.m.: theft. Police responded to a report of a possible theft of a cell phone from a diner at Taco Bell.

-6:32 p.m.: disorderly conduct. Chris Bowles was cited for disorderly conduct after reportedly trying to start a fight at Circle Mart, 100 E. Main St.

July 15

-11:46 p.m.: theft. A resident in the 900 block of Jackson Street reported a video game console, controllers and several games were stolen and had been sold to Go Go Gamers. Video evidence showed the items sold by Noah Sabroff, who had been at the home the previous day, according to the police report.

-3:20 p.m.: disorderly conduct. Deborah Mayer was cited for disorderly conduct after reportedly damaging property and making threats against several people.

-6:36 p.m.: burglary. Police responded to a report of a burglary at a residence in the 500 block of Front Street. The door was kicked in and a television was taken.

Accidents

-Brianna L. Swiger, 22, of Greenville, was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation following a two-vehicle collision July 8 at 1:58 p.m. According to the crash report, Swiger rear-ended the vehicle driven by Alex L. Watkins, 21, of Greenville, in the 200 block of Washington Avenue when Watkins slowed for stopped traffic ahead. Damage to both vehicles was minor.

-Adam B. Ramirez, 20, of Dandridge, Tennessee, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign following a two-vehicle collision July 8 at 6:34 p.m. Ramirez was stopped, facing east, at a stop sign at the corner of Armstrong and Wayne when he then entered the intersection, striking the northbound vehicle driven by Lillian Holsapple, 70, of Greenville. Damage to both vehicles was minor.

-Adam B. Ramirez, 20, of Dandridge, Tennessee, was cited for a reasonable control violation after striking a utility pole on Wilson Drive July 9 at 7:32 p.m. Damage to his vehicle was disabling.

-Brittany C. Wheldon, 25, of Lewisburg, was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation after rearending the vehicle driven by Spencer L. Anderson, 19, of Sidney, while it was stopped in traffic on Sweitzer Street July 9 at 10:10 p.m.

-Justin W. Melton, 21, of Graham, North Carolina, was cited for an assured clear distance violation after striking a parked car July 11 at 4:46 p.m. on 12th Street. Damage to both vehicles was moderate.

-A semi-truck reportedly struck a utility pole, knocking it down, at the intersection of Sater and Harrison July 14 at 12:32 a.m., according to a witness statement. The driver then left the scene.

-Taralyn K. Charles, 25, of Greenville, was cited for improper backing following a two-vehicle collision July 14 at 10:51 a.m. According to the crash report, Charles traveled too far into the intersection at Martin Street on Green Street at a red light and backed into the front of the vehicle driven by Jodie L. Downey, 29, of Greenville. Both vehicles had minor damage.
