GREENVILLE – Golfers from Arcanum, Bradford, Mississinawa Valley and Tri-Village qualified for districts with their performances at Tuesday’s sectional meet at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
Arcanum finished third in the sectional meet with a score of 362 and Tri-Village finished fourth with a score of 369. By finishing in the top four, Arcanum and Tri-Village both qualified for districts as teams along with sectional champion Catholic Central, which shot a 355, and runner up Newton, which shot a 361.
Bradford junior Alex Swabb shot an 85 for the 18-hole round and Mississinawa Valley senior Josh Rehmert shot an 87. They both qualified for districts as individuals along with Covington senior Levi Winn, who shot an 81, and Bethel senior Tyler Weinert, who shot an 85.
Arcanum’s Conner Pohl was the individual sectional champion as he shot an 18-hole round of 75. Also for the Trojans, Justin Hoke shot a 90, Nate Kubik shot a 98, Sam Artz shot a 99, and Steven Vanatta shot a 100.
Brett Boyter led Tri-Village with a round of 87. Also for the Patriots, Tyler VanWinkle shot an 89, Knox Morris shot a 95, Brandon Peters shot a 98, and Luke Wheeler shot a 103.
Rehmert led Mississinawa Valley with his round of 87. Also for the Blackhawks, Joe Teeter shot a 104, Trent Collins shot a 112, Brandon Beanblossom shot a 118, and Kyler Guillozet shot a 120.
Trent Rader led Ansonia with a round of 108. Also for the Tigers, Logan Miller shot a 125, and Connor Lee shot a 140.
The district qualifiers will compete on Oct. 8 at Weatherwax Golf Course in Middletown.
