Greenville cross country teams finish 3rd in GWOC North

CENTERVILLE – The Greenville boys and girls both finished third in the Greater Western Ohio Conference North Division at the GWOC’s cross country meet on Saturday.

The Greenville boys finished third out of five teams in the GWOC North standings. The Green Wave finished behind Vandalia-Butler and Troy and ahead of Piqua and Sidney. Greenville finished 11th out of 17 teams in the overall GWOC meet, which Beavercreek won.

The Greenville girls finished third out of four teams in the GWOC North standings. The Lady Wave finished behind Troy and Butler and beat Piqua. Greenville finished ninth out of 15 teams in the overall league meet, which Centerville won.

Senior Jacob Hounshell led the Greenville boys with a time of 17:39.5, which was good enough for 49th overall and eighth in the GWOC North.

Senior Carson Bruner finished with a time of 17:58.4, which was 60th overall and 11th in the GWOC North.

Sophomore Andrew Kocher finished with a time of 18:00.9, which put him 62nd overall and 13th in the GWOC North.

Sophomore Jacob Subler finished in 18:28.3, which was good enough for 69th overall and 18th in the GWOC North.

Sophomore Seth Unger finished with a time of 18:33.7, which was 75th overall and 20th in the GWOC North.

Senior Tanner Herrmann finished in 18:52.8, which was 83rd overall and 23rd in the GWOC North.

Sophomore Pryce Duryne finished in 18:53.4, which put him 84th overall and 24th in the GWOC North.

Troy senior Stephen Jones won the GWOC and GWOC North races, which included 119 and 35 runners respectively, in a time of 15:17.4.

Senior Lexi Roth led the Greenville girls as she finished in 20:33.2, which put her in 41st place overall and ninth in the GWOC North.

Junior Brooke Perriera finished in 20:46.2, which was good enough for 49th overall and 12th in the GWOC North.

Senior Ally Hayes finished with a time of 21:08.7, which made her 51st overall and 13th in the GWOC North.

Senior Stacey Strobel finished in 21:14.1, which was 54th overall and 14th in the GWOC North.

Freshman Tiffany Strobel finished in a time of 21:30.3, which put her 57th overall and 16th in the GWOC North.

Sophomore Grace Coakley finished in 21:46.2, which was 60th overall and 17th in the GWOC North.

Senior Hannah Coakley finished in 23:13.1, which put her 76th overall and 24th in the GWOC North.

Troy sophomore Morgan Gigandet won the GWOC and GWOC North races, which included 108 and 31 runners respectively, with a time of 17:26.6.
