Nov. 13
-1:11 p.m.: assault. A woman reported and witnesses confirmed an assault by another woman while in line at the customer service counter at Walmart.
-8:42 p.m.: theft. A male juvenile reportedly stole two cans of beer from the Speedway at 1350 Sweitzer. He was identified by a witness and citations were written for theft and underage consumption.
Nov. 14
-12:38 a.m.: pursuit. Logan Chaney was taken into custody and charged with speeding, driving in restriction of a temporary permit and failure to comply with the signal order of an officer after reportedly fleeing and eluding police during an attempted traffic stop. He was incarcerated on $1,025 bond.
-7:33 p.m.: warrant. Jesse York was arrested on an active warrant from Greenville Police on a theft charge. He was incarcerated with no bond at Darke County Jail.
Accident
-Jeremy L. Kautz, 39, of Greenville, was treated for injuries at the and was cited after striking a parked SUV with a semi Saturday at 8:57 a.m.
According to the crash report, Kautz was southbound in the 400 block of Washington Avenue when he collided with a parked SUV, forcing that vehicle into a tree then striking a tree himself. The semi was owned by Stegall Contractors. The parked SUV was own by Letisha Ford, of Greenville.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. Kautz was treated at the scene by Greenville Township Rescue and was cited for an assured clear distance violation.
