Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team loses at Parkway

ROCKFORD – The Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team lost 69-53 to Parkway on Saturday.

After Parkway took an 18-13 first quarter lead, MV cut its deficit to 31-27 in the second quarter. The teams played even in the third quarter with the score standing at 39-35 before Parkway pulled further ahead in the fourth quarter for the 67-53 win.

Mikayla Stump led Mississinawa Valley with 18 points in the game. Also for the Lady Hawks, Kelsie Hunt scored 14 points, Leslie Dirksen scored 10, Bailey Johnson scored five, Sidnie Hunt scored three, Olivia Murphy scored two, and Elizabeth Allen scored one.

Parkway won the junior varsity game 34-27.

Mississinawa Valley will play at National Trail on Monday.
