COLUMBUS – The Motorcycle Ohio program is looking for individuals with the dedication, experience and people skills to help teach the Motorcycle Ohio Rider Education courses.

Listed below is the location, dates and times of the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Motorcycle Ohio Instructor Preparation Courses:

-Butler Tech, Butler County – Hamilton, April 2-3, 16-17, April 30-May 1 and May 14-15

-Stark Co. Sheriff’s Office, Stark County – Canton, April 9, May 7-8, 21-22 and June 4-5, 11-12

-Education Service Center of Lake Erie, Lucas County – Oregon, May 7-8, 21-22 and June 4-5, 11-12

-Ohio Dept. of Public Safety, Franklin County – Columbus, June 11-12, 25-26 and & July 9-10, 16-17

Registrants must pay a non-refundable fee of $100 and be able to attend all sessions of the Instructor Preparation course and must attend the entire student teaching course, which includes a weeknight.

Student teaching will be held at sites determined by class and participant demographics. New instructors have an opportunity to earn $26 per hour.

More than 180,000 motorcyclists have been trained in the last 16 years. More information about Motorcycle Ohio and the courses, including statewide locations and updated training requirements, are available online.
