PORTLAND, Ind. – The Versailles High School girls swim team won the Coldwater Cavalier Invitational, which is the unofficial Midwest Athletic Conference meet, on Saturday at Jay County High School in Indiana.
Team scores were as follows: 1st, Versailles, 148; 2nd, Ft. Recovery, 117; 3rd, Minster, 106; 4th, Coldwater, 75; 5th, New Bremen, 66; 6th (tie), St. Henry, 3; and 6th (tie), Marion Local, 3. All of the seniors were recognized at the meet including Versailles seniors Ashlyn Cordonnier, Lexi Fliehman, Abbey Marshal, and Rachel Subler.
Fliehman broke two meet records on Saturday. She swam the 200 yard freestyle in 2:02.19, breaking her own meet record of 2:03.97 set on Feb. 1, 2014. She also swam the 100 yard freestyle in 54.42, breaking her own meet record of 54.51 set on Feb. 9, 2015.
