Franklin Monroe girls basketball team loses at Brookville


BROOKVILLE – The Franklin Monroe girls basketball team lost 42-22 at Brookville on Monday.

Brookville led 5-3 at the end of the first quarter and 16-12 at halftime. The Blue Devils increased their lead to 29-16 in the third quarter and won 42-22.

Carrie Baker led Franklin Monroe with nine points in the game. Also for the Lady Jets, Kennedy Morris scored four points, Tara Goubeaux scored three, Allie Armstrong scored two, Kinsey Goins scored two, and Danielle McVey scored two.

Jordann Gudorf led Brookville with 20 points in the game. Also for the Blue Devils, Allie Conry scored nine points, Kassidy Heck scored four, Katlin Pistone scored three, Bayley Boston scored two, Alayna Miller scored two, and Michelle Smith scored two.

Franklin Monroe fell to 2-18 with the loss while Brookville improved to 8-12. The Jets will play host to Tri-Village on Thursday.
