Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team loses to Houston


HOUSTON – The Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team lost 53-28 at Houston on Monday.

Houston took a 13-5 first quarter lead and led 29-16 at halftime. The Wildcats increased their lead to 45-23 in the third quarter en route to the 53-28 final score.

Mikayla Stump led Mississinawa Valley with 14 points in the game. Also for the Lady Hawks, Olivia Murphy scored five points, Bailey Johnson scored three, Kelsie Hunt scored two, Madison Stachler scored two, and Kylie Willis scored two.

Mississinawa Valley fell to 4-17 with the loss. The Lady Hawks will conclude the regular season on Thursday when they play host to Newton.
