COLUMBUS – Tri-Village dropped three spots to No. 4 in the Associated Press’ girls basketball state rankings.

In the fifth poll of the 2015-16 season, Tri-Village fell from No. 1 to No. 4 in the Division IV rankings. Arlington, Waterford and Berlin Hiland bypassed the Lady Patriots in the poll.

Despite dropping in the rankings, Tri-Village still earned three first-place votes this week. The Patriots were one of five Division IV teams to earn first-place votes.

Tri-Village has been ranked in every AP girls basketball poll this season, ranging from No. 5 in week one to No. 1 last week. Tri-Village is the lone Darke County girls basketball team to be ranked this season.

A number of other schools with local connections are ranked this week. Sidney from the Greater Western Ohio Conference is ranked No. 3 in Division I, Wayne from the GWOC is ranked No. 5 in Division I, Fort Recovery from the Midwest Athletic Conference is ranked No. 11 in Division III, and Minster from the MAC is ranked No. 6 in Division IV.
