GREENVILLE – The Greenville boys and girls track and field teams won a three-team home meet on Tuesday, defeating Tippecanoe and Union City (Indiana).
The Greenville girls finished first with 76 points, beating Tippecanoe by just two points. Union City finished third with 35 points.
The Greenville boys also won with 76 points, defeating Tippecanoe by five points. The Union City boys scored 30 points to place third.
In the girls 4×800 meter relay Greenville finished second behind Union City with a time of 12:10.66.
Sophomore Larissa Schmitmeyer finished fourth in the girls 100 meter hurdles in a time of 19.57.
Junior Folger Pyles won the boys 110 meter hurdles in 18.69. Junior Chad Harter finished second in 19.90, and sophomore Logan Wead finished fourth in 20.56.
Sophomore Hope Byrum won the girls 100 meter dash with a time of 14.01, and sophomore Isabel Elliott finished third in 14.48.
Junior Mac Kirk won the boys 100 meter dash in a time of 12.38. Junior Dalton Walls finished second in 12.66, and senior Codi Byrd finished fourth in 12.72.
The Greenville girls finished second behind Tippecanoe in the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 2:02.09.
The Greenville boys finished third in the 4×200 meter relay in 1:45.39, trailing two Tippecanoe teams.
Senior Hannah Coakley finished third in the girls 1,600 meter run with a time of 6:30.55.
Greenville won the girls 4×100 meter relay in a time of 55.57.
The Green Wave won the boys 4×100 meter relay with a time of 46.92.
Junior Sydney Oda finished second in the girls 300 meter hurdles in 56.95.
Junior Jack Garland won the boys 300 meter hurdles in a time of 45.86. Junior Folger Pyles finished third in 46.67, and sophomore Logan Wead finished fourth in 51.93.
Freshman Matt Boltin finished second in the boys 200 meter dash with a time of 26.73 while senior Joe Suter finished third in 26.81.
Sophomore Haley Maher finished third in the girls 3,200 meter run in a time of 14:40.51, and Itzel Jarrett finished fourth in 16:46.44.
Greenville’s girls finished third in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 5:08.86, finishing behind two Tippecanoe teams.
The Greenville boys finished third in the 4×400 meter relay in 4:08.01 behind two Tipp teams.
Sophomore Sierra Cress won the girls discus throw with a throw of 92 feet 8 inches. Junior Lessie Cable finished fourth with a throw of 63 feet 7 inches.
Senior Ben Whittington won the boys discus throw with a throw of 124 feet 1 inch. Senior Jordan Ernst finished third with a throw of 106 feet 7 inches.
Senior Chloe McKinney won the girls high jump by clearing 4 feet 8 inches. Freshman Lilly Stiefel cleared 4 feet 6 inches to place second, senior Tessa Schatz cleared 4 feet 2 inches to place third, and freshman Ashley Jolley cleared 4 feet 2 inches to place fourth.
Sophomore Sierra Cress won the girls shot put with a throw of 33 feet 8 inches. Junior Kassidy York placed third with a toss of 28 feet 1.5 inches.
Senior Ben Whittington placed second in the boys shot put with a throw of 40 feet 6 inches, and senior Noah McCabe finished third with a throw of 37 feet 11.5 inches.
Junior Meg Rehmert won the girls pole vault by clearing 11 feet while junior Lexi Addington cleared 10 feet 6 inches and placed second.
Junior A.J. Frens won the boys pole vault as he cleared 15 feet 6 inches. Sophomore Ryan Trick finished second by clearing 13 feet 6 inches, and sophomore Matthew Hounshell finished third by clearing 10 feet.
Senior Kennah Ellis finished second in the girls long jump with a jump of 13 feet 5.25 inches. Senior Addison Hart jumped 13 feet 1 inch and placed fourth.
Junior Jack Garland won the boys long jump by jumping 17 feet 11.5 inches. Junior Daniel Harper jumped 17 feet 10.5 inches and placed third.
Junior Daniel Harper finished second in the boys triple jump with a total distance of 35 feet 2.5 inches, and sophomore Noah VanHorn finished third with a distance of 34 feet 2.75 inches.
Senior Chloe McKinney won the girls triple jump by jumping 29 feet 4 inches. Senior Tessa Schatz jumped 27 feet 3.25 inches to place second, and senior Addison Hart jumped 25 feet 1 inch to place third.
