WEST ALEXANDRIA – Bradford lost 8-2 to Twin Valley South in a Cross County Conference baseball game on Wednesday.
Twin Valley South took an early lead with two runs in the bottom of the first. Bradford cut its deficit to 2-1 in the third inning, but South added to its advantage with four runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to make it 7-1. Both teams then added one run in the sixth inning.
Bradford had seven hits and four errors in the game. Twin Valley South had nine hits and two errors.
Mason Justice led the Railroaders as he went 3-for-4 at the plate. Bryant Byers was 2-for-3. Wade Gerlach and Walker Branson both went 1-for-3.
Andy Branson scored a run and drove in a run. Jeff Wolf walked one and scored a run. Dylan Cassel had a RBI.
Andy Branson pitched 4 1/3 innings and allowed one earned run and six unearned runs on six hits, six walks and three strikeouts. Parker Smith pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits, no walks and one strikeout.
Bradford fell to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in the CCC with the loss.
