ARCANUM – Conner Pohl threw a one-hitter as the Arcanum baseball team beat Newton 4-1 in a Cross County Conference game on Thursday.

After Arcanum scored four runs in the bottom of the first, Newton scored the game’s only other run in the top of the third.

Arcanum out-hit Newton five to one in the game. Both teams committed two errors.

Austin Baker went 2-for-3 for the Trojans. Hunter Saunders was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Nate Kubik went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Arcanum improved to 6-2 overall and 5-0 in the CCC with the win.
