WEST ALEXANDRIA – The Tri-Village softball team beat Twin Valley South 8-4 in a Cross County Conference game on Thursday.
Tri-Village scored two runs and Twin Valley South scored one in the second inning. In the third both teams scored two runs to make it 4-3 in favor of the Patriots. Tri-Village then scored one more run in the fifth inning and three in the seventh.
Tri-Village had 10 hits and three errors in the game. South had five hits and three errors.
Shelby Frech went 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and a run scored for Tri-Village. Payge Malott went 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run. Ally Godown was 2-for-4 and scored a run.
Kloey Murphy went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Bree Wilson went 1-for-2 with a walk, a RBI and a run scored. Shelby Holzapfel was 1-for-4 and scored a run. Breeann Lipps drove in a run. Peyton Bietry, Haven Buckley and Breanna Locke each scored a run.
Bree Wilson pitched the complete game and allowed two earned runs and two unearned runs on five hits, three walks and one strikeout.
