SIDNEY – The Greenville boys tennis team swept Lehman Catholic 5-0 on Wednesday.
In first singles Greenville’s Noah Haupt beat Griffin West 6-3, 6-0. In the second singles match the Green Wave’s Craig Manges beat Ryan Goettemoeller 6-1, 6-3. In third singles the Wave’s Quintin Muhlenkamp beat Will Hoersten 6-3, 6-1.
The closest match of the day came at first doubles where Greenville’s Alex Lance and Tyler Davis beat Sam Ritze and Malachi Bezy 6-7, 6-2, 1-0. In second doubles the Wave’s Austin Grote and Josh Smith swept Josh Armstrong and Sean Toner 6-0, 6-0.
Greenville improved to 7-4 with the win while Lehman fell to 2-6.
Max Onkst and Aaron Lobenstein won in extra matches.
