Greenville softball team no-hit by Centerville

DAYTON – Centerville’s Mollie Paulick threw a no-hitter as the Elks beat the Greenville softball team 2-0 on Friday at Wright State University.

Centerville scored one run in the first inning and one in the seventh while holding Greenville scoreless. The Elks had five hits and no errors while the Lady Wave had no hits and two errors.

Greenville’s only base runners in the game came in the bottom of the fourth when Karsyn Shaffer and Alli Hill drew back-to-back walks.

Allison Minnich pitched the complete game for Greenville, allowing one earned run and one unearned run on five hits, six walks and two strikeouts.

Paulick allowed no runs on no hits, two walks and 14 strikeouts.

Greenville fell to 14-5 with the loss while Centerville improved to 12-2.
