Greenville softball team run rules Bellbrook

BELLBROOK – The Greenville softball team run ruled Bellbrook 19-3 in six innings on Friday.

After Greenville took a 2-0 lead in the top half of the first inning, Bellbrook tied the game in the second inning. The Lady Wave then took an 11-2 lead in the fifth. After Bellbrook scored its final run in the bottom of the fifth, Greenville added eight more runs in the sixth inning.

Greenville had 21 hits and four errors in the game while Bellbrook had six hits and three errors.

Ashton Kester went 4-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs for the Lady Wave. Karsyn Shaffer was 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs and four RBIs. Makayla Hanes was 3-for-5 with a run and a RBI. Cassie Cromwell went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, a walk, a run and two RBIs. Sydney Grote went 2-for-5 with a home run, a run and two RBIs.

Jazzlyn Petry was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a RBI. Logan Tabler was 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs. Lani Shilt was 2-for-5 with a RBI and two runs. Alli Hill went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs and four RBIs. Tess McClure scored three runs while Madelyn Breig and Andrea Griffith both scored a run.

Grote pitched four innings and allowed one unearned run and one unearned run on five hits, one walk and two strikeouts. Hill pitched two innings and allowed one earned run on one hit, three walks, two hit batters and two strikeouts.
