Arcanum, Versailles baseball teams ranked in season’s final OHSBCA poll

COLUMBUS – The Arcanum and Versailles baseball teams both are ranked in the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association’s final statewide poll of the 2016 season.

Versailles moved up from last week’s 20th place ranking to 17th place in this week’s Division III state rankings. The No. 17 ranking is a season best for the Tigers, who were ranked in all four of this season’s polls.

Arcanum fell from 24th last week to 26th this week. The Trojans ranked in the final three polls of the 2016 season.

Other teams with Darke County connections ranked in this week’s state poll include Greater Western Ohio Conference member Springboro being ranked No. 2 in Division I, GWOC member Vandalia-Butler being ranked No. 6 in Division I, GWOC member Beavercreek being ranked No. 13 in Division I, Midwest Athletic Conference member Coldwater being ranked No. 2 in Division III, MAC member St. Henry being ranked No. 8 in Division IV, MAC member Fort Recovery being ranked No. 10 in Division IV and MAC member Minster being ranked No. 13 in Division IV.
