On May 10 the Union City Lions hosted their biannual Ladies’ Night for the members and their spouses. The program chairs for this event were: Rick Gettinger, Blake Clevenger and Doug LeMaster.

The excellent entertainment for the evening was Amanda Livingston, singer and guitarist. At the meeting Roger “Flip” Hoover was presented an “Honorary President” certificate.

The Union City Lions made a donation to the organizations from the Union City High School who helped with the Lion Pancake Day held on April 9. Organizations that provided student helpers were: AVID, NHS, SADD, and the wrestling team. Thanks to all who supported this Lions’ fundraiser.’

The 2016 State Line Heritage Days committee is getting an early start on our annual fundraiser that helps to cover the cost of our free entertainment offered to the public during the festival. Chances to win a 2010 EZ-GO Electric RXV golf cart with/charger can be purchased at the following businesses in Union City: CARTS & PARTS, Jo’s Corner Florist, State Farm Insurance, Citizens State Bank and Aukerman’s Tire Service. The drawing will be held on the Main Stage during the final night of the festival Aug. 6. You do not need to be present to win.
