PIQUA — The Edison Foundation at Edison State Community College is excited to introduce the inaugural Girls’ Night Out Little Black Dress Celebration of Women’s Education. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 19 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Robinson Theater of the Piqua Campus.

“This event is poised to be one of the region’s most renowned functions for raising dollars to support women’s scholarships,” said Edison State President, Dr. Doreen Larson.

This year alone, the Edison Foundation has granted over $100,000 in scholarships to Edison State students from local communities.

“We believe that a higher education experience can be life changing. This belief guides the Edison Foundation and inspires us to assist in granting scholarships that change the lives of our students and strengthens our community,” added Larson.

For $50, the guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages, dinner served by local celebrity men, music by guitarist Jimmy Felts, a gift bag, and the chance to get all dressed up in their favorite little black dress.

“This will be a fun night to get the girls together and support a worthy cause,” said Larson.

Seating is limited, and guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend. All proceeds support scholarships for women at Edison State.
