ARCANUM – Brittany Kinney hit a grand slam as the Arcanum softball team battled back to defeat Russia 7-5 on Monday.

Russia got off to a fast start with four runs in the top half of the first inning. Arcanum battled back and reduced its deficit to 5-3.

In the bottom of the sixth Arcanum’s Kinney launched a grand slam over the fence, giving the Trojans a 7-5 lead.

Kaitlyn Zell, Gracie Garno and Macey Hartman each had two hits in the game.

Elle Siculan was credited with the win.

Arcanum improved to 5-0 with the victory.
