BRADFORD – Mason Justice had a walk-off single to lead the Bradford baseball team to a 3-2 Cross County Conference victory over Twin Valley South on Tuesday.
Bradford scored the game’s first two runs in the bottom half of the second inning then Twin Valley South tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the fifth.
In the bottom of the seventh Alex Swabb led off with a single. Parker Smith singled and Clay Layman was hit by a pitch to load the bases then Justice hit his walk-off single for the 3-2 Railroader victory.
Bradford had nine hits and one error in Tuesday’s game while Twin Valley South had seven hits and one error.
Justice was 2-for-4 with a RBI for Bradford. Swabb was 2-for-3 and scored a run. Layman was 2-for-3 and was hit by a pitch. Dillon Reck was 1-for-3 and drove in a run. Bryson Canan was 1-for-2, was hit by a pitch and scored a run. Smith had a hit, Walker Branson scored a run, and Wade Gerlach had a RBI.
Smith pitched the complete game, allowing two runs on seven hits, one walk and six strikeouts.
