NEW MADISON – The Tri-Village softball team lost 8-1 to Covington in a Cross County Conference game on Tuesday.

Covington scored two runs in each of the first four innings. Tri-Village scored its lone run in the bottom of the fourth.

Tri-Village had three hits and four errors on Tuesday while Covington had eight hits and one error.

Allie Downing went 1-for-3 with a double and scored a run for Tri-Village. Kloey Murphey and Trisa Porter both went 1-for-3. Rachel Miller walked twice.

Taylor Bowles pitched the complete game for Tri-Village, allowing eight runs on eight hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
