Mississinawa Valley baseball team no-hit at New Bremen


NEW BREMEN – New Bremen’s Caleb Alig threw a no-hitter against the Mississinawa Valley baseball team on Monday.

New Bremen won the game 15-0 in a five-inning run rule. The Cardinals scored 10 runs in the first inning and five in the fourth.

Mississinawa Valley had no hits and two errors. New Bremen had eight hits and no errors.

Ethan Dirksen drew a walk and stole a base for Mississinawa Valley.

Cameron Shimp was the losing pitcher as he allowed five earned runs and one unearned run on no hits and three walks without recording an out. Dirksen pitched four innings, allowing six earned runs and three unearned runs on eight hits, four walks and one strikeout.
