2 arrested during drug raid in Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG — A man and a woman were arrested following a drug bust in Gettysburg, Ohio, Monday afternoon.

Following a drug investigation, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, along with the Greenville Police Department and with the assistance of the Darke County SRT/Miami County SRT conducted a drug bust at 205 Bridge Street in Gettysburg.

At approximately 4 p.m., Christopher A. Silcott, 43, and Jamie R. Hampshire, 38, were both taken into custody without incident by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Silcott was booked into the Darke County Jail on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine. Hampshire was charged with permitting drug abuse. An assortment of drug paraphernalia, Methamphetamine and a handgun were found in the apartment. Additional charges will be filed in this case.
