BRADFORD —A Gettysburg man hit a utility pole after driving through water on the roadway Sunday.

On July 23, at 12:26 p.m., Darke County Sheriff Deputies along with Bradford Fire Department and Bradford Rescue responded to New Harrison Bradford Road in the area of Smith Road.

Deputies determined that a westbound Ford Fusion driven by Tyler Austin ,27, of Gettysburg Ohio, drove into standing water on the roadway. Austin lost control of his vehicle causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole.

There were no injuries reported at the scene of the accident.
