Greenville police blotter



December 6, 4:30 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Russ Road in reference to a domestic dispute. Both the male and female involved had visible markings on their faces from a physical altercation, but neither wished to press charges. The male left the house for the evening.

December 7, 10:56 a.m.: Police responded to the 200 block of Green Street in reference to a domestic dispute. The victim claimed a male had entered her house and struck her with his fist. Officers were able to locate the male nearby and he was issued a citation for CPO violation.


December 4, 1:09 p.m.: Joshua Johnson was arrested on a warrant from the Ohio Parole Authority for parole violations, with no bond. Johnson was then transported to the Darke County Jail.

December 5, 4:01 a.m.: Matthew Hall was arrested on two warrants at Speedway, 201 Wagner Avenue. The warrants cited probation violations and a failure to appear in court on a theft charge. Hall was transported to the Darke County Jail.

December 8, 2:21 a.m.: Dwain Hodge was arrested on Walnut Street near East Fourth Street on a warrant through the DCSO on an indictment for possession of drugs and physical control. Hodge was transported to the Darke County Jail.


December 7, 11:29 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the Greenville Police Department in reference to a woman who had arrived and filed a report that her medication had been stolen. The investigation remains open and there are no suspects at this time.

December 7, 4:13 p.m.: A report was filed with GPD that indicated that a cell phone had been stolen and the complainant knew who had stolen it. Officers were unable to locate the person who had stolen the phone and a report of the incident was taken.


December 8, 3:26 a.m.: Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an incorrect license plate. Cody Paul was cited for driving under suspension and the license plate on the vehicle was removed and taken into police property.


December 6, 2:30 a.m.: GPD conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling eastbound on East Main Street near Virginia Avenue. Drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be methamphetamine were located in the vehicle. The evidence was taken into police property and charges are pending based on lab results of the substance.

December 7, 4:01 a.m.: Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Fourth Street and Sycamore Street. A small bag believed to be methamphetamine was located and the driver was placed into custody in the backseat of a police cruiser. Upon releasing the suspect, police noticed a green bag in the backseat where the suspect had been sitting. He admitted that the substance was likely fentanyl. Both contents were taken into police property and the information was sent to the prosecutor’s office, pending charges based on lab results.

December 7, 8:47 p.m.: Police responded to 100 block of Helm Street in reference to a possible overdose. Upon arrival, officers called EMS and Narcan was administered. Police located a syringe and substance believed to be fentanyl. The substance was sent to the lab for testing, pending charges upon results.


December 6, 3:52 a.m.: A juvenile was issued a curfew citation after attempting to run from police on a bicycle near Montage Café on Broadway.
