Greenville police blotter


January 2, 9:25 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Water Street in reference to a couple having a loud verbal argument. Both members had calmed down by the time officers had arrived and stated they would remain at the residence.

January 5, 5:09 p.m.: GPD responded to the 300 block of Oxford drive in reference to a couple arguing. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who advised that her boyfriend had locked her out of the house. Both the male and female present were issued citations for nuisance abatement.


January 5, 12:51 a.m.: Steven Ressler was arrested on a warrant after a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of East Main Street and Locust Street.


December 20, 12:25 a.m.: Police responded to the 200 block of Olive Street in reference to a complaint of breaking and entering. Items totaling approximately $660 were stolen. There are still no suspects at this time.


December 27, 2:22 p.m.: Greenville PD responded to assist Union City PD with a vehicle pursuit on St. Rt. 502. The vehicle was quickly stopped and both occupants were arrested.

January 2, 6:36 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was alleged to be stolen. A male reported that he had given permission to his son to use his car to run an errand, but that he hadn’t returned. Upon locating the vehicle, officers found a syringe and the drive was issued a citation for possessing a drug abuse instrument.


January 4, 7:19 p.m.: Officers responded to 656 Wagner Avenue, Captain D’s, in reference to a female subject who had suffered a seizure and was unresponsive. GPD and rescue squads attempted to revive the woman, but shortly after these attempts, she was pronounced dead.


January 2, 10:49 p.m.: GPD responded to a suicide attempt near the 100 block of W. Harmon Drive. The person was transported to Wayne HealthCare where they were evaluated and released. Advocate photo
