GREENVILLE — AIM Media Midwest, LLC, parent company of Darke County Media, home of The Daily Advocate and The Early Bird newspapers, is pleased to announce the hiring of Abigail Miller as a full-time reporter, effective April 5, 2021.

Miller, a 2016 graduate of Greenville High School, attended Kent State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism, with minors in Public Relations and Fashion Media, in 2019.

Miller brings with her a large volume of award-winning experience, including the The Paul Ryan Achievement Award for the Greatest Promise as a Journalist for her work at The Kent Stater, where she held a variety of positions, including managing editor. She also served as editor in chief of A Magazine at Kent State.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to have Abigail join our team,” said Darke County Media Editor Erik Martin. “She’s smart, has a great background in journalism, and being a Greenville native, is already familiar with the area. I know the Darke County community will enjoy getting to meet Abigail and read her work.”

In her off hours, Miller enjoys spending time with her friends and family, astrology, reading, sending snail mail, and watching Dateline.

“I’m excited to cover events in my home county,” said Miller. “I know the community, respect the community and really care about the people who live here.”

Miller will be covering courts and crime for Darke County Media, as well as local government and education.
