PIQUA – Greenville American Legion Post 140 traveled to Piqua and brought home a 2-1 Tuesday night win over Piqua Legion Post 184 by a 2-1 score following a weekend third place finish at the first Tiffin College Classic played at Tiffin and Heidelberg Universities.

Tyler Beyke led off the top of the first-inning with a full count walk, took second on a Piqua passed ball and advanced to third on a Colton Francis groundout to short. Will Cook followed with a one-out walk and Jarod Lee hitting into a run scoring fielders choice giving Greenville a 1-0 lead with Piqua coming to the plate.

Piqua Post 184 knotted the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth with Ludwig knocking a two-out run scoring single to center.

Greenville Post 140 go back-to-back singles off the bats of Jack Kletzly and Carson Bey and a Ben Ruhenkamp walk to load the bases with no outs. Dawson Stephens grounded into a run scoring fielders choice to short scoring Kletzly in what would prove to be the winning run.

Both Greenville and Piqua played error free ball.
