The Arcanum girls basketball program put on a youth camp for girls grades 1 - 6 and 7 - 8 from June 12 - 15. Head coach Abbey Moore said they extended the camp another day and have been able to cover more of the basketball basics with the campers.

The coaches and high school players have been teaching the young girls different drills and basketball activities. Moore said it was fun to see the young girls out on the court and see the high school players in a different role.
“We had a great turnout, 86 total kids which is great. All of my high school girls have been here helping all week,” Moore said.
“It’s a great time, great opportunity for these high school girls to build that team unity this week. Having them step up and show leadership and be role models to these young girls is what it’s all about,” Moore said.
