Porter breaks school records at Lady Bucc Invite; four local schools compete

PIQUA — Four local schools participated in the Lady Bucc Invitational on Aug. 7 at Echo Hills Golf Course. The Versailles girls golf team finished the highest taking second place with a team score of 385.

Arcanum tied with Russia for fourth place with a score of 399. Greenville took ninth with a 418 team score. Franklin Monroe finished with a score of 753.

Versailles golfer Ella Porter was the medalist at the event with a score of 75, tying a school record. She did break the away nine-hole record with a 36. Emma Garrison finished with an 89, the eighth best score in the invitational. Gabby Dues had an 100 and Kyla Milligan had a 121. Danielle Francis had a 148 and Kara Milligan had a 137.

For Arcanum, Brooke Anderson led the team with a 93. Emma Rogers had a 95 to finish second. Kaylee Flatter scored an 100 and Kylie Grieshop finished with a 111. Payten Parks and Adalyn Paul scored a 133 and 137 respectively.

For Greenville, Vera Cox led the team with a 97 while Sofia Chrisman finished close behind with a 98. Leah Curtis scored a 106 and Callee Moore scored a 117. Grace Cook had a 124 and Taylor Trissel had a 128.

For Franklin Monroe, Jadyn Brandt had a 121 and Abby Fourman had a 132.
