VERSAILLES — The children of Larry and Bonnie (Monnin) Barga are happy to announce the celebration of their Golden Anniversary. The couple was married 50 years ago on Sept. 29, 1973 at 1:30 p.m., at St.Denis Catholic Church. Father Jaekle officiated the ceremony while Ann Subler was the soloist and Mary Magoteux accompanied her on organ.

The wedding party consisted of Mike Barga, Best Man; along with groomsmen Joe Barga, Tim Barga, Dave Goubeaux, Ron Simon and Robert Monnin. Becky (Monnin) Condon, sister of the bride, served as maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Peg (Barga) Beam, Jane (Schemmel) Goubeaux, Barb (Heitkamp) Batty, Linda (Schmitz) Nickell and Teresa (Magoto) Knapke.

Larry and Bonnie have three children; Traci (Jason) Anthony of Versailles, Corrie (Brian) Holthaus of Minster and TJ Barga of Versailles. They have been blessed with nine grandchildren; Connor and Caroline Anthony, Carmen, Hank and Allie Holthaus and Jac, Brody, Beau and Charlee Barga.

Larry is retired from Clopay Corporation and Bonnie is retired from Midmark Corporation. They have spent the past 50 years at many, many softball games, watching their children and grandchildren at a variety of sporting events and activities, Eldora races and spending time at their pond.

The couple will celebrate with their children, grandchildren and others at a dinner reception on their anniversary.
