VERSAILLES — Bill and Barbara Ahrens of Versailles will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a celebration on April 27 with a mass at St Denis and dinner after. Bill Ahrens and the former Barbara Schoenlein were married on April 25 at St Rose Catholic Church by the late Rev. Aloysius Dirsken.

The couple has six children listed with their spouses: Kevin and Susan (Wampler) Ahrens, Versailles; Bob and Joyce (Rethman) Ahrens, Versailles; Todd and Lynn (Ahrens) Kitzmiller, Minster; Dan and Linda (Wakefield) Ahrens, Versailles; Rodney and Amy (Fiely) Ahrens, Versailles; Jason and Hollie (Baker) Ahrens, Versailles. They also have 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
